John spent his career connecting with his students through math, thinking outside the box, and the 4 Cs: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. He would take any opportunity to help students develop their passion for learning and further their education.
The John C. Berray Foundation would like to carry on these ideals in his name, by awarding scholarships to students in the Grossmont Union High School District who show that passion by continuing their education beyond high school. These scholarships will be awarded each academic year during the spring/summer. The Foundation will allow us to continue John’s passion — inspiring students to continue to learn.
