Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. John spent his career connecting with his students through math, thinking outside the box, and the 4 Cs: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. He would take any opportunity to help students develop their passion for learning and further their education. The John C. Berray Foundation would like to carry on these ideals in his name, by awarding scholarships to students in the Grossmont Union High School District who show that passion by continuing their education beyond high school. These scholarships will be awarded each academic year during the spring/summer.
